A debate on this subject would be never ending. The way I look at life is, this isn't a trial period, this is IT! so eat, drink, and do everything you can, or afford to do, while you still can. If you can incorporate this with Health Problems, which no doubt we all have, and have everything in moderation! Go for it! So what! y'er a long time deid!! Jean

Charlie, i'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved dog.
The site Daisy mentioned sounds like a lovely idea, hope you and Maureen will find it helpful also.
Take care.

What a great opportunity for Caterina and Oor Wullie to be able to have a photo of the building they lived in when they were young. Jean

Ron and I visited the Transport Museum, when we were in Glasgow for the 'Garden Party'. We thoroughly enjoyed it, so interesting, and what an amout of exhibits. Thanks Adaline and Brigton for telling us about it. Jean

Hi weanie, I agree with what you say about Linn Cremetorium.
I have been to Daldowie and Linn, on many occasions, and have personally found the Linn a more comforting place. Both my Parents and Rons Parents were cremated there.

My Great Grandparents are buried in Dalbeth (My mothers side).
My Dad took Ron and I there about 10 years ago, as I wanted to see the headstone.
Sadly we couldn't find it, my dad clearly remembered where it was situated, but the whole area was overgrown and many headstones were covered over.
Does anyone know if this is still the case, or if overgrown areas have been cleared?

Norrie, that's quite a collection of photos. I think you bear a strong resemblence to you Father, in the photo he had taken on the bike. Jean

My Maternal Grandparents are buried in Riddrie Cemetery. I only went there once with my mum, not long after my grandmother died, but I would only have been about 8yrs old at the time. All I can remember is a railing in front of the grave, which seemed to be at the back of the cemetery. I have no idea of the plot number. Jean
