Hi Charlie was sorry to hear about max last night ,I know others who have lost pets from other forums that I'm in and they have registered their death on a site called rainbow bridge
rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm
apparently you click on "the monday night candle "area at top of page and scroll down to "enter as a resident of rainbow bridge " , apparently this site has been a great comfort to anyone losing a pet.

Charlie, There really are no words that can comfort you both right now. Just the thought that friends care and are thinking of you. I will be inconsolable when the time comes for me to part with either of my "girls"

We are all absolutely gutted as he was with us for so long...our other dog Gio is at loss and I reckon we will have to get another dog quickly as Gio who was several years younger than Max has never been used to being in the house alone. We buried him in the garden yesterday which was really heart wrenching for me and my son.

No more dogs for us. When one goes the other will just come to work with me. To be honest it is the dogs stopping us from moving to Aus. 6 months quarantine and I had a look at the website for the kennels. NEVER. Charlie, did you plant a wee tree of remembrance? We have one and when we did the renovations last year we got horror e-mails from the grandsons in Aus, warning us not to disturb Rosie's tree. The boys are now 17 and 14 and they still remember. MAx will live forever in your hearts, although there is a big empty hole right now, you memories will always be there. Them, and the foties, cos if you are anything like me, there will be hundreds of him

Charlie, I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet. we have been through this too, many times; and yes, our pets hold a very special place in our hearts. Unlike humans, they never let us down, are always there for us, and love us unconditionally. they are a joy You have given Max a kind and loving home, remember the good times...

Hi Blondie, my wee dog was a yorkie too I could feel your pain as I read your post as I said in my last post it's 11 yrs since wee prince was put to sleep and I still miss him but I won't put myself through it again and this is why I don't want another one. He too was going deaf and blind and his liver had given up in the end.

I've never had a dog Waverley and because of that I have always been quite wary of them. However Eileen's parents bought a wee Scottish Terrier a number of months ago and I love him ;D and can see how folk get very attached to a family pet. Its quite true its like losing a family member, I'm sure a few tears were shed.

Charlie, i do feel for you as your wee dog becomes part of the family.
I have a wee yorkie and have had him for 13yrs, and the poor wee soul is on as many tablets as the vet can give him, he has heart problems and also a tumor in his stomach, he been like that for a couple of years now and the vet say he can't believe he is still here. He follows me about the house every where, my family and friends say they have never seen a dog so faithful, but he is my wean and i love him to bits and know that one day i will have to think of the inevitable and it breaks my heart to even think about it.
