the way these guys teamed up, its funny at brigton cross on some big match days the derry seemed to quadruple in a matter of hours wi the odd spur punter a coupler fae parkhead and the dickie fae main street and nunnyboys then the baltic and ferry would aw turn up doon ra toll even the odd powery punter fae the bristol bar was an honourary derry boy for the day, and the odd wan would stroll in fae afar as west london know whit ah mean an awrat. and dundee and i could name them aw as well ;D is that right charlie

the spur came fae london road barrowfield st stamford st bernard st and dunn st and surrounding areas, we used to huv tae cut through bernard st tae go tae my grandas hoose in bernard st and tae my burds hoose in stamford st and that spur mob were like apaches they were fecking everywhere, the fery stood on the corner of fairbairn street as did the nunny on there st and derry at the toll, but the BEN HUR PHEWWW BIG TEAM , SORRY TROTSKY but yer outnumbered this time pal. and the border never heard of them ;D
haw trotsky dont be throwing the rattle oot the pram, i,ve no got a clue about the border or how many was in it i never went that far up intae the east end, bad enough getting on a 64 up tae belvidere with that termy mob

great reading charlie very intriguing, i only got halfway through the phone rang. but wil go back to it i liked the bit about the blue bonnets, i always believed the blue bonnets to of been a load of clans from both sides of the border and when anyone attacked any name or clan the war cry was BLUE BONNETS TO THE BORDER.

hello hello we are the derry boys ;D gutting yerself charlie when i first came doon here tae england i emptied a few spray paint tins, walls cars bus stops everything we didnt bother with the tag stuff the jamaican boys do aw that stuff on the london underground, i remember my we mate nibbs getting the jail in baltic street for painting our names and gang slogans on the wall. ;D ;D ;D he was howling as the polis dragged him away he was only a wee boy the dirty bassarts and the wall was condemned to be knocked down, but wan time i got payed plenty for painting a load of walls in alperton near wembley with para military slogans of both sides and bridgeton derry wulso scotty smidy 1690 etc, it was a film set ;D ;D ;D as i worked as a scenic carpentar and buider at the BBC and we did a film to do with northern ireland, and bushmills whiskey, on 3 different locations alperton, rotherhithe and a place outside london called henley on thames at a disused brewery, which we used as a mock barracks for our actor soldiers and a jail for irish stone throwers. it was quite interesting doing the sets for films and tv programmes and news desks, but the best bit was the licence to spray the walls ;D the film was called heroes i think. made around 1995 -96 and as for the seige mentality its great when anyone comes i just look on my tv monitor who,s outside and if i know them i,ll open the gates if NOT they can GTF ;D and my staffy keeps the front guarded the gates of brigton reinvented in england ;D
