there was quite a big mob of the ferry years ago a big guy wi ginger hair used to lead them off they called him big P.H. peter hanen he defected years later no long after yogi fae the spur died and i heard got life in jail running aboot wi the calton tongs. the ferry boys nearly aw ended up at the toll after they knocked aw the buildings doon, some ended up wi the baltic fleet. but as far as i knew they aways were one team especially on match days, it wasnae unusual tae see a spur punter, or parkheid rebels punter on oor supporters bus at the mermaid, namely wan eyed mincie, rebel and kelso the spur, during the week they were aw kiling each other funny thing is when i was at school wi the lot of them at bernard st we were aw in the same class at school fought like feck as teenagers when we started drinking , noo i heard they are aw drinking the gether doon the toll wee kinnie torch and milsy fae the spur who live in dalmarnock changed days eh, silly auld bassarts still think there cardboard gangsters ;D

Names from the Torch I remember : Hendy, Kelso, Marvin, The Wright Brothers, 'Leaf' Cooper, Junior McLaren, John McCall i was at bernard street school wi milsy and kinnie and big alfie butterley and that crew leaf cooper wee junior and kelso and danny maitland where a couple classes higher up than us, and by the way i met wee junior years later in a pub called the coach and horses in stoke newington north london, and he had lost both his legs when he fell between 2 trains at kings cross railway station as he was robbing the buffet cars, they had to amputate both legs and kelso i went to identify him in charing cross hospital in intensive care he layed there for 8 months he was attacked as he came out of a pub in my local area called the olde hatte in west ealing in west 13 london he got set about by four guys with machettes and 2 birds wi base ball bats and ripped apart by 2 rottweillers, he was totally wrecked, his face and eye hangs limp on one side, he had just come out of jail after doing 6 years for attempted murder on his girlfriend an american girl he,d beaten to a pulp and stabbed the police said it was linked i used to still see him as he sat with the winos on the park bench. incidently i met him one night at a bus stop he was on the run before any of this happened after he told me he was on the run i sais hey davy am glad i bumped into you tonight, he said hows that jackie boy , i said because look whit happens when ye drink, he laughed as we parted and said aye but i can handle it jackie boy, boy am i not glad i didnae believe his parting statement
