he did not insult, abuse, ridicule, injure, molest,or harm any player or spectator. He wore a tee shirt with a picture on it, if thats a problem , its your problem, not his. Neither did Gascoigne when he played his imaginary flute... did heThe best statement I have heard regards this 'lump of wid ' is , if Cardinal Winning was alive today he would've been pulled the Holy Goalie up for publicly 'prostituting the Catholic faith'...says it all for me.

Its not a question of sensitivity, but one of responsibility.
What do we all think his motive was for this display.
Has he done the same stunt against other SPL teams ? I honsetly dont know, as I dont follow football too closely.
It was crass behavious, intended to inflame a fixture, that needs no inflaming.

The Holy Goalie's blessing himself is not and never was an issue and has been discussed on dozens of Rangers , Celtic and other Glesga boards...it was his actions prior to his ritual blessing himself which was the issue - I know as I was a mere five yards away from him when he done it. But hey don't let a good source or lie about big bad proddies and bigotry get in the way of a myth and the oppression of the MOPE's.

I cannot wait until the Holy Goalie starts his usual 'my bunnet, my money , my tea & sugar and my fags' routine at Ibrox at the next Old Firm gemme and can just picture the Rangers fans all doing the hokey cokey in reply...an absolute belter. ;D The Daily Telegraph ISSUE 1388 Sunday 14 March 1999 Doing hokey cokey 'mimics Latin Mass' By David Bamber THE hokey cokey, the popular dance, has always been seen as an innocent, if raucous, form of entertainment. But an Anglican clergyman has now discovered a more sinister side: it originated as a parody of the Roman Catholic Church's Latin Mass. Canon George Nairn-Briggs, Provost of Wakefield Cathedral, West Yorkshire, says that both the name of the dance and its actions were originally designed to satirise the traditional Mass and the clergy. The dance involves participants forming a chain and flinging their limbs about in line with commands. Canon Nairn-Briggs said: "In the days when the priest celebrated the Mass with his back to the people and whispered the Latin words of consecration with many hand movements, the laity mimicked the movements as they saw them and the words as they misheard them." The words "hokey cokey" were a mishearing, or a deliberate parody, of the Latin phrase "Hoc est enim corpus meum", which translates as "This is my body". Canon Nairn-Briggs also contends that another corruption of the same phrase is "hocus pocus", the words believed to be used by magicians when they were casting spells. Historical sources appear to back up his theories. The Hokey Cokey became a popular dance in 1940s America and crossed the Atlantic with US soldiers. But its origins are much older and it seems to have gained popularity originally on this side of the Atlantic, before being taken to the US by refugees. An earlier folk dance version was performed in mainland Europe in the 19th century. The Oxford English Dictionary says that "hokey cokey" comes from "hocus pocus", the traditional magicians' incantation that derives from a Latin phrase used in satanic masses, themselves parodies of the Latin Mass.

I don't know about his good looks Caterina but he is a good goalie I must admit. And to be truthful I reckon it is ridicolous that he is being pulled up by the League because he stuck his finger up at the Gers fans last week at Celtic Park...he has done a lot worse and got away with it.

There does seem to be no general rule - it's just your luck (on either side of the great divide) if you catch the eye of the wrong person on the wrong day when you're misbehaving

There does seem to be no general rule - it's just your luck (on either side of the great divide) if you catch the eye of the wrong person on the wrong day when you're misbehaving A lot of the fun has gone out of fitba now Caterina and too many people are to busy watching the opposition fans for something to be offended by or report to the police. Ibrox is a nightmare between the police and the rock steady feckers if you look the wrong way at them you are pulled up or ejected from the ground...I look forward to the day that there is a mass riot at the ground and these feckers get their just reward - showers of bassas the lot of them. If only some of the Rangers fans showed the same spirit they done in Manchester these feckers would soon learn not to interfere where they are not wanted. ;D Anarchy in the UK Loyal RSC.

Come on, we're all wise to you now The mighty stirrer has fallen ;D Not in the least Caterina I am totally peed off being bullied by 30 bob a day stewards who think they have just joined the SS because they have a black uniform on...and our police are not much better. And even more peed aff wi' the majority of our support who will attack police in riot gear with flaying batons in Manchester and foreign police who have guns but allow themselves to be threatened and bullied by jobsworths at Ibrox...they are not the Gers supporters I grew up with. Anywat get back to the topic...is the Holy Goalie a vicTIM or just a big Pole who has overstepped the line once too often...
