A classmate of mine from my primary school in Castlemilk Annette Mc Millan's brother died in the Cheapside Street blaze. Unfortunately I can't remember whether he was a fireman or in the Salvage Corps. RIP Gordon Mcmillian was one of the Glasgow Salvage Corps killed in the disaster,i worked with a couple of his cousins years later..

[quote author=gallowgategal board=capatain thread=2533 post=32052 time=1263402600 Are you my sister in disguise Oi Charlie, caterina and dunbar are multis ;D ;D I get your drift Anne...it is true what they say about people who don't like animals. If I had my way I would have two sheep in my garden just to keep the grass down. We now have deer at the end of the street and my pal Stan witnessed two deer grazing in MacBeth Street in Parkhead where I used to live the other day. I have always found people who do not have animals in their lives are usually sad and lonely individuals and normally have deep rooted emotional problems. As Beth already said an animals love is unconditional and their loyalty like a baby or a small child goes way above anything that some adults can ever reach...I personally would lose my sanity if it wasn't for my two dugs , two rabbits , two love birds and two cockatiels. Charlie (I.E. Dr Doolittle ) & you call people sad,do you take them all out at once for pooh poohs

I had to leave as I think Big Andrews was on his way down as well...I could never have survived having to duck and dive all those flashing blades and open razors of those three auld Sally Boys in the lounge. not seen mowser for yonks, what a shift that would have been listening(big john) tales of old i just wished one of us had kept a diary

Naw, don't know the name Patrick. Alfie Allen, Spider, Joe Cooks, and Wullie Bennet were the Border guys who hung about Allens, we rarely went in there but would hang about along the Road at Charlies. Us guys from Salamanca Street would be OK with the bigger Border gang in both snooker halls but sometimes those "wee men" frae the fire station area didn't like us hanging about with the big boys in the snooker halls and would shoo us away back doon tae our own wee bit of Parkheed ;D wullie bennett was my bruv in law, sadly him & his brother joe have passed away

Andy in reply to your enquiry re the Rangers v Cameronians ticket from 1898 I can confirm Rangers won four nil but it is not clear where the game was played. It was also a Glasgow Cup tie. charlie the game was played at IBROX,the cameronians opted for their right to where the match was to played as they had no ground, pick the ticket up tomorrow over at god"s country

over 44,000 empty seats at ceptic park, the home of tgfitw,(aye right)we know at ibrox we are in deep trouble & playing schit, this cant say much for the mob fae the cesspit,(tgtitw)this is a club that is financially sound & where going to win all compititions this season, they have spent £££££££££££££££££££££££££ more than the gers this year & what has it got them SFA,i think you will see the rebel hoards outside the cesspit long before you see the bears outside the BROX.so mote it be.
