This 4A bus must have taken a wrong turn somewhere Charlie lol. The 4A route was between Govan Cross and Castlemilk when I lived in Castlemilk from 1956 to 1960 when they changed the bus no. to a 34A. I moved to Easterhouse in 1962. weanie

Ah don't remember many shops frae Brigton, but then ah didnae live there, only went tae visit ma sisters or doon tae the library. Ah remember Dunsdales jist beyond the cross in Dalmarnock Road, because it wis right opposite where ah got the bus fur Cranhill. It later became Woolworth's ah think, an ah remember Timpsons the shoe shop, an the wee tobacconist - cannae remember its name - a coupla shops doon frae the bank at the corner o Landressy Street. It used tae sell aw different kindsa fags - French, American, etc. Ah also remember a kinda wee music shop in Main Street, jist up frae Brigton Cross, that sold guitar strings, kazoos, etc.

Thats a great photo Tam. I remember ma mammy used to get her lino from Millers, way back in the 50's and 60's nobody had fitted carpets then, it was a square carpet in the middle and lino all the way round the sides.
