The Waddell Memorial Methodist Church stood in Burgher Street and Ardgour Street and was built on land gifted to the Methdoists by Alexander Waddell the estate owner of what was to become Belvedere Hospital.
He also gifted a large and beautiful stained glass window to the church in memory of his mother. Mr.Waddell also had erected the Waddell Memorial at the eastern end of the church in 1896.
