Used to be a member of the little Wembley club that ran out of the club, run by the late Hance Stewart, who was truly a lovely man. We saved up weekly and then went by train overnight on the Thursday down to London. The first trip I was on we stayed at the Curzon Hotel in the west end which was very swanky and very expensive. Scotland got beat 3-1 that year with John Wark scoring.
Two years later we went back again, but to Brighton instead. Had such a great time there we never went to the game and watched it on the telly in the hotel. We bloody won 1-0, John Robertson penalty, and I wasn't even there. Serves me right.

I knew Big Hance as he ended up drinking in the Clanny before he died...I was also at both of those games.
