Harry, things were so bad I wiz contemplating gettin a stick on beard fae Tam Shepherds in Queen St. Between expensive pints and gettin knocked back fae Clouds things were gettin desparate.
But hell will freeze ower befor I go TT

I thought that the Black Bull was probably one of the best pubs in Parkhead just my opinion I liked it a lot good serious drinkin and the beer was well kept as was the straw hoose and the bowlers that used to be ma Seturdy night those 3 pubs I loved it boab

Hi all, That was my pub of choice when I started to drink,I lived in Janefield St,and that was in late 50s-early 60s. The chargehands name was Pat Macelholm {I think} he was the brother-in-law of the man who owned it, John something. There was also a bartender by the name of Pat that worked there,Pat had a club foot. This site brings back a lot of good memories.
