He was originally the minister at the Congregational church and was voted out due to his doctrine. Some of the congregation moved wiht him and formed the Pentecostal Church of parkhead. I think the met in the Billiard rooms in Tollcross Road. Then after people buying a penny brick and offerings they were able to build the church in Burgher tsreet.

I was reading on the church web site they plan to rebuild the church in 2011, the church, which is featured in charlie's book "Old Parkhead" was opened the 30th of Nov 1907. The congregation has decided the church is wearing, and showing her age. The new plan has proposed to expand the church and change the facia, Here is a artist rendering of the new church.
