I received this email this month..........extract ..
Hello again, It's Kate here from the Museum of Transport. I was looking at your website today and I came across the section on the end of the 'caurs' in Glasgow. Do you remember the Last Procession? If so, I'd love to speak to you. I'm trying to find people to speak to who were at the procession in '62. Perhaps you also have friends and acquaintances that went as well. Could you give me a call sometime for a wee chat?
Also, I have a favour to ask... I'm trying to spread the word that I'm looking for people with memories of the procession. I'm going to visit a few community centres and heritage groups very soon with a flyer to hopefully generate some more interest. Thanks for your help and I look forward to speaking with you. Kate

Daisymay I practically lived oan the caurs when ma Maw worked on the No.9 on the London Road...she would show out to me on the road to Auchenshuggle during the school holidays and we would aw wait for her at the caur stop at Nuneaton Street on her way back and all pile oan board and travel through to Dalmuir West.
