WE WERE REPRESENTING THE 67th BB AS YOU HAD TO BE CONNECTED TO SOME ORGANISATION.WE TOOK IT ON OURSELVES TO DO IT.WE SEEN AN ADVERT IN THE RECORD FOR A NATIONAL 5 A SIDE CMPETITION, AND ENTERED.MY DA WAS OUR MANAGER.WE PLAYED ALL OUR QUALIFYING GAMES IN HALLS ALL OVER GLASGOW,AND HAD TO LEAVE QUICKLY AS WE BEAT THE LOCAL TEAMS.THE FINAL WAS IN THE KELVIN HALL YEAR 1964/5 WE WON IT THE FOLLOWING YEAR ALTHOUGH MY BROTHER JIM AND CHARLIE McCLEISH WERE TOO OLD TO PLAY.

CHARLIE, IT WAS ME WHO TAKES WEE JIMMY TO THE CLANNY.HE DOESN'T DRINK IN PUBS ANY MORE SO I ALWAYS MAKE A POINT OF TAKING HIM OUT,WHENEVER I AM "HOME" THEY ARE BOTH DOING WELL AND SEND THEIR REGARDS. WE HAD OUR BB MEETINGS IN THE HALL IN HELENVALE ST ON FRIDAY NIGHTS AND THERE WERE ONLY 12 OF US WHO EVER WENT TO PARADES AT THE END OF EACH MONTH.IF YOU DIDN'T ATTEND PARADES YOU DIDN'T PLAY IN THE TEAM (HENCE ONLY 12 GUYS) WILL LET YOU KNOW NEXT TIME I AM HOME AND GET YOU A PINT ANYWHERE IN PARKHEAD.

sorry aboot the cap's on the previouse post a wisnae shouting some times the caps button is left oan with wan o ma grand weans and a' dont notice it as I live in Canada I have never had anyone in thousands of posts take umbrage at my short sightedness 'A' like yer wee site and A widnae want tae get kicked aff so I will try and remember to check the cap's sorry bobby
Bobby nobody has taken umbrage with you mate. It is just considered bad manners in e-mail etiquette to post an e-mail made up of capitals and is generally classified as 'shouting'...and as we say in Glesga 'who you shouting it'... ;D
