Patrick I bought three cigarette cards the other day including the Bob McPhail one you listed here. William Reid was the Rangers centre-forward at the outbreak of The Great War and he enlisted and had a distinguished military career before returning to the Gers to play fitba. Did you copy this from another site or was it for sale somewhere on the internet.

£18,000 is just a wee bit out of my range Jamie... ;D As you sit in so many chairs Charlie, this wan would have been ideal Sold in a Glasgow auction last nite, hud a wee sit oan it oan wednesday - jist as i thought still uncomfortable as it wid huv been in the late 60s early 70s, only difference wis i hud a better view than yi hud in they days ;D RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB INTEREST seat No 258 from the original Ibrox stadium, constructed in cast iron and oak Note: This chair was retrieved through the stadium during the upgrading in the 1970s, it is thought very few of these chairs survived. Estimate £300 Sold £900 + 20%

I knew it was up for grabs Jamie...but it didn't interest me other than the fact that it had an east end link as it was an original seat from Archie Leitch's new Ibrox stand opened in the 1930's - Leitch was born and bred in Camlachie, the seat made in Bennett's factory in Avenue Street in Mile-End...just like the Rangers who were born in Bridgeton in May 1872.

Patrick I appreciate your efforts mate re the cards and the programmes you post on the Rangers and Celtic boards. However, unless there is some great historic interest behind the programmes I will remove most of them as we will get inundated with thousands of programmes which have little or no historic interest other than when it was played and the score.. Especially modern day programmes which are mass produced and of little money value...generally pre- 1960's stuff are of great interest to people apart for their value and rarity. Keep up the good work with the cigarette cards and let me know if any come up for grabs on e-bay...especially of William Reid.

Is that the Bridgeton oot by Helensburgh?

Andy,it is available on Premium Sports but I don't know if that means you will get it on U.K. television, otherwise it should be available in some bars and last resort Rangers T.V. on your computer.
