Could anyone please let me know what happened to the ball, boot and goal that was on the cobble street of Barrowfield?
I have also heard that the Olympia opened today could anybody tell me if it is opened to the public?

I shall try Caterina to share in my old mind now what the ball, boot, and goal was. Well for me it was walking home from seeing my grandmother that lived at 4 Fielden Street,my DARLING parents lived next door to her. Three flats on the top landing. Toilet a few stairs down from the landing ,with the famous BIG key,old papers for toilet rolls,I remember waiting till I coulden't wait any longer not to meet anyone,at the same time as my coulden't help myself ,and saying what an embarrassment, the call of nature could be. ;-) Anyway to get back on the subject,I would walk the railings each time after leaving them, after my visit to the low road would take the railings at the toilets on the Gallowgate and walk on them till I reached the old jail and in between them and the Camlachie Community centre at the top of Yate Street was the famous ball, boot, and goal. I NEVER MISSED STOPPING at them before going home to Dalserf Street...... I THINK and RELIVE that OFTEN. XXXXXXXXXXXX Silly OLD ME. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX BUT the boot, shoe, and goal,............. ARE PRICELESS ,for ME XXXXXXXXXXXX
GOLDEN DAYS. XXXXXXXXXXXXX
