Took a walk along the clyde side today and took a look at the newly renovated St Andrews Cathedral inside the court yard is a Plaque that on the 2nd of July 1940 the Anandora Star carrying civilian internees was torpedoed and sank of the coast of Irland with the loss of 446 Italian Nationals

Dont get me started on this memorial Tam....the ship which was sunk just happened to be carrying Italians who were officially at war with us and being transported to Canada along with German prisoners of war. All I will say is, why is this memorial being placed in Glasgow or Scotland for that matter...what next a memorial to the Luftwaffe bombing crews who happened to be shot down over Clydebank.
