I sing this song to my grandkids here in Canada. Little things like this, will keep them in touch with their scottish heritage.

The song was written by a guy who lived in the Scottish Borders town of Galashiels. He used to make and sell sweets around the doors and made up the song to help him sell his sweets. It was recently discovered that he had died and was buried in a poppers grave in the town and some local people are now trying to raise money to give him a fitting memorial
