Has anyone been watching this TV series which is normally shown on a Sunday night. I have to admit I keep forgetting about it but it is getting rave reviews from people I know who are historically accurate in their history studies. Need t tune in this week.

Caught one of the episodes tonight and it was quite interesting and was handled well in regards to the clearances which is still very much a controversial subject amongst many Scots...albeit many of those I have met have only ever read John Prebble's book on the subject and are ignorant of many of the facts.

Just come back from weekend tour of the highlands It was wonderful and the scenery was stunning, The trip through Glencoe was beautiful yet in some ways eerie, because of the Campbell MacDonald tragedy.

I am sure Alex that there were only a handful of soldiers with the surname Campbell who were actually involved in the emassacre...the muster roll for the Government troops who were billeted on the McIans of Glencoe in February 1692 verifies that was the case.
