It saddens me to report that George Clarke known on here as George551 was cremated today. I never knew he was dead until his nephew told me tonight in the Clanny. I met George a few times in recent years and he was always a pleasant enough wee guy who loved the Gers and the whisky, boy could he swally that stuff. He will be sadly missed. I would appreciate if someone could pass the word on to other boards that I know he frequented as I do not know if they are aware of his death.

Yes Patrick if you remember when we had our meet with George a few years ago and ended up in the Clanny his nephew ended up taking him home to the Milton. Well it was his nephew's son who came in yesterday after the funeral and told me George had died. I did not know as I don't frequent the pub as often as I used to through the week so I hadn't heard that 'wee Woodsy's uncle had died. Anyway as I say let everyone know what has happened as I know he was involved with other boards and I don't now if they are aware of his demise.
