Just happened to re-read this classic Glesga ned novel this week and finished it this morning. The author refers several times to 'Tims' which I am sure he isn't referring to those loveable jolly craicsters who frequent Sellick Park on a regular basis...I have many more colourful names for that lot, but that is a different topic. ;D Anyone any idea where the name comes from and why people were referred to as such. Sadly there is no glossary and some of the auld Glesga words have to be read out loud over and over again in order to understand them.
