Since my retirement, I have been visiting parts of Scotland I haven't been in years or haven't been in at all, especially this summer, as the weather has been great. Places I have been are as follows:
Burnt Island Kirkcaldy Perth Inverness Leven Rothesay Dunoon Greenock Gourock Dumfermline Motherwell Saltcoats Irvine Troon Balloch Helensburgh Dundee Ayr Ardrossan
There are still a whole load more I have yet to visit, so any suggestions would be great. All I can say is thanks to the Scottish Goverment for our free bus pass without this I would never have ventured to these places. I have had to have mine replaced as the picture is worn away with use and have been pulled up by drivers to have it renewed.

I think I will retire next year as I am fed up working and want to lead the life of Riley and travel, write books and take photos...surely I must be good at one of them. Ach well, I guess I will just stick to what I do best...swallying, it is an art ye know.

I can't believe Oban isn't on your list Carol.
A really good spot for a day trip,I usually get a visit in when I'm on my annual pilgrimage to the U.K.
