... Muhammad must go to the mountain.
A bit of good news for once in what has been a really trying week for me. As you all know my oldest lassie, Lorraine, in Australia is expecting her first child in June. Everybody has been asking me 'are you going over for the birth, the christening etc., .' Only to be told 'Naw' I am not up for long flights to Australia or anywhere else in that region so I was quite happy to wait and see the new baby when it was due home to Britain for it's first visit in September.
I got a phone call this morning from Lorraine telling me that she, Greg and the baby are coming home to Europe for 9 months during her maternity leave in September. They will base themselves in Paris which means they are only just over an hour away from old Grumpy here in Glesga and Greg's parents in Dublin.
Greg lived in Paris for several years and he speaks the lingo like a native and he should get himself a job there during his sabbatical from the company they both work for back in Sydney.
So things are on the up and up regards some aspects of our family life...a definite case of 'If McDonald won't come to the Mulligans...the Mulligans must go to the McDonald !' ;D
