Cul-de-sac off 989 Gallowgate, and named after the Lands of Croft which lay in the vicinity.
Probably best remembered for the Croft Garage and Showroom where they mainly sold Ford's as I recollect. I remember the mechanics used to road test the new model of the day, namely the Capri, along Janefield Street, because they could really give it the welly as they passed along side Celtic Park at the Jungle.

pwm437 my Husband served his Apprenticeship there 1955 to1960 and he was one of these Mechanics away back then road testing for weird noises and such. bettyb
