Just got back this morning at 1 am and I absolutely knackered...I am getting to auld for leading the life of an International playboy and jetsetter. Great trip and brilliant company despite the fact I dropped and lost 170 €uros at a toll station on the way home. Nevertheless great couple of days away and it was really good to see some of my old friends and to meet new ones. Especially the two DUP Councillors from Ballymoney in Northern Ireland of whom I am sure we will hear more of in years to come.

Just arrived home last night from Amsterdam...I know Amsterdam is 250 north of the Somme but that is another story! Anyway I spent a fantastic four days away visiting the Somme and Ypres and for the first time ever the battle of Waterloo site. I am telling you one thing if you didn't know anything about the Battle of Waterloo you would come away thinking that the French , and not us Brits, won the battle back in 1815. Very French orientated...must be one of the few sites I have visited where everything is geared to the losers version of the battle.
