Thanks Charlie I went in and had a look great photo the way I remember the corner of Nuneaton St was the Stamford bar with no houses above and spare ground around it where we watched the motors on match day at celtic park.
You can see the building of Mauldslie St where I was born so thanks for that. I have good memories of this street as you know Charlie my grandparents lived there for years.

I was back in looking at the photos and away down memory lane, I remember when we moved to Easterhouse and would come to visit my grandparents in Mauldslie St we would get the bus at helenvale St back to easterhouse if my memory serves me right it was the 213 smt bus (green bus) walking up the London Rd to Helenvale St we would pass by celtic park and going under the bridge that you see in the background of the photo of the stamford bar and nuneaton st. we would wave to the train driver if a train happen to be passing at the time I think it was coal that the train would be pulling then. I was only 3 when we moved to easterhouse.
Just passed Mauldslie St was a wee newsagents shop owned by a family named Allan at this time they also lived just passed the shop, my Maw (granny) bought this wee shop from them around 1969-70 then when her and my granda moved to Ruby St when the flats were built she sold it on.
I remember after the fire you speak about Charlie at Begg's playing there and standing on a broken bottle and having to get stitches on my foot still got the scar.
I have loads of memories from this area. some sad and some really happy ones.

That is correct Patrick we did have a public toilet near to the school at the corner of Dalriada Street. It is still there though it has been bricked up for many years now...yes your memory serves you well the old cooperative building ended up as a mini-bingo in the late 60's and early 1970's.
