I have managed to pull together a really good collection of street scenes of the east end and the city in recent months. A wee bit reluctant to put them on here as there are plenty of folks on the internetnet who see no harm in 'plundering' other people's research and personal collections.

Charlie I have a couple of embroidered postcards from WW1. Also 2 letters written in the trenches. His name was Allan Crawford 89 Burgher Street. Don't have any more info. My postcards were sent from my Great uncle Allan HLI to his mother and his sister. No date but WW1. This is my great uncle too. His brother Andrew was killed at Loos with the 10th HLI. My great grandad was their brother John who was a Forge Storeman. Scottcrawford69@sky.com
