We used have a bit of a competition to see who could walk the backcourt railings for the longest, withoot fawin oaf. Could have been bad for yer reproductive health, if ye came a cropper.

Also doing various jumps round the back courts, such as the "Big Queeny" and the "Kingy" etc. as well as walking the sloping wall behind the Granada Picture House.

Jumping on top of the Dykes was about my stretch.

One of my cousin's who came from Edmiston St was climbing or walking on the railings, you know the ones with spikes, when he fell and the spike went through his hand, this happened in one of the backcourts around Edmiston St in the early 70's.

Clansman I think we could walk from 77 whitby st all the way round to springfield rd with out touching the ground,

I can still myself jumping the dykes funny how we look at things differently as we get older maybe its just as well eh
