Naw no wae' Easyjet. When £35 could be the deposit for a hoose & wages were about £18 a week wae' O/T. This £35 included 2 nights in a hotel in Lloret de Mar in a package with George McClure the travel agent at the Gushet in Shettleston. I'm talking 1972 of course. Turbo prop fae Prestwick (before it was Pure Dead Brilliant) into Gerona an' two oors on a bus to Lloret, two days getting pished - a shullin' (5 very new pence actually) for a Bacardi & Coke. A bar under the Nou Camp the length of the pitch an' a big cup of vodka for about wan & a tanner. Nae wunnner there was bother. Unforgetable but so was Manchester.

The partly unfinished Hotel Samba it wiz. ;D Sat atop a hill, the workies were finishing off the swimming pool, bit of a walk doon to the toon and beach. We thought we had paid for 3 nights and when George appeared the day after we got there feelings got heated and some plonker took a swing at the old fella, fortunately he missed. That is probably where the £7 more that you paid came in Charlie. Amazin to write about it and get a reply from a fellow supporter who was also there after aw' these years. I liked Lloret that much that I took my wife there on honeymoon 3 years later.
