hi vicky my family also lived on the top floor, we lived on the right so you must have been in the room and kitchen, I am trying to remember the name of the man who lived in the middle was it alec? im not 100 per cent sure one thing I am sure about he was a door to door salesman, because I used to help him and his case was very heavy. the brodie,s lived under you, thedickie,s next door on the ground floor was the fitsgerald,s my uncle and aunt, in the back of the close lived the freeman,s wullie and margaret, and kids mr freeman was a mechanic he was alway,s fixing cars outside the close.

Hi Patrick, Have a feeling you had moved by the time we moved. Think we moved there around 64 or 65 just after my mum and dad split up. Before that we lived in 9 Whitby St., next to the Clansman. We were on the middle top floor and my mum's relation McAdam on the left and we did have the room and kitchen. Vicky

Billy Leadbitter was in my class. He became an actor. Worked for TAG and is now teaching in London I think!!

The name Billy Leadbitter rings a bell. The Leitch's lived on our level(1st) in Whitby. We were the last house before you went up the stairs to 2nd level.
