Bartons certainly did operate Glasgow to Corby, I was on it a few times visiting my sister who lived there for a few years.
I'm sure we got the bus from Clyde Street, but they may indeed have left from Burgher Street. Will ask the family if they recollect.

Definitely left from Burgher Street. I went to Corby in it with my auntie when I was about 8 and the journey seemed to take forever, especially when you're bursting to go to the toilet and there's only one stop

The distinctive Robin Hood logo of Barton's buses. It must've been a bus like this that we travelled to Corby on Caterina.

IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY AM PRETTY SURE THE COMPANY THAT RAN THE BUS WE WERE OAN FAE BURGHER STREEET WAS STAGECOACH. Ach PitBull yer a terrible man so ye ur Stagecoach wasn't founded till 1980 nd never ran fae Burgher Street in Parkhead. Strangely enough there is a link however between Stagecoach and Burgher Street. Brian Souter who owns Stagecoach is amember of the Church of Nazarene which happens to have a Temple in Burgher Street. he Stagecoach Group is controversial due to its chairman and co-founder, Brian Souter, who has received criticism regarding his business practices, certain public statements and his funding of a campaign to block the repeal the anti-gay Section 28 law. In 2000, OutRage! spokesman Peter Tatchell, called for a boycott of the bus and rail group. In 2007 two gay teens in Aberdeenshire were threatened with being removed from the bus because one had his arm round the shoulders of the second; 'hug-in' protests around Scotland then followed from members of the Scottish Socialist Party and gay rights activists, calling on Stagecoach to apologise which they have as yet failed to do. In 1998, Souter once described northerners (who make up a considerable proportion of his customers) as "the beer-drinking, chip-eating, council house-dwelling, Old Labour-voting masses.",

I went down to nottingham on the corby bus, from McEwan st, a couple of times in the early 70s. It was bartons buses and i think it had "robin hood transport" on the side of the bus.
