Hey You lot Can anybody remember playin White Horses in the closes back in the day.
I can always remember leggin it doon the sters 10 at a time, before the guy on the bottom flat came oot tae see who wiz kickin his door.

Worst was playing it in the flats, someone was meant to hold the lift doors open , but for a laugh you would let them shut just as they started banging on the doors

Obviously Charlie wiz into more sedate entertainment. Haw, Tam kin you remember how we picked who would be on the 3rd floor. I'm sure it wizny through choice.

I remember we did a variation of this tenement classic. A wee guy who lived in Janefield Street was called Roderick Mitchelson, and on the ground floor of no.145 lived a grumpy old bassa called Pollock, who would constantly chase us away, if we were hanging around. One day we got a length of washing line, trussed up Roderick Mitchelson and tied him on to old Pollock's door handle. We then booted the door half a dozen times and then scarperred to the safety of the cemetery at a suitable vantage point. All hell broke loose, with Mitchelson senior and Pollock getting to fisticuffs, after Pollock had given young Mitchelson a bit of a slapping. Ahh, the innocence of youth. Tragically, Roderick Mitchelson was murdered in Cumbernauld, where the family went to live after Janefield Street. He also had two twin sisters.

Never heard it called 'White Horses' we just called it Kick doors run fast.

Can just imagine Ding Dong Dash , Fraser you take the top floor of the town house and give it a golly good ding dong then we will dash back to pa pas for a game of chess, Right o cameron Its white horses boot the door try and get doon the stairs before the guy at the bottom boots his door then go to tonys cafe for a gingerbeer ice drink and blow smoke into Zenos hair Oh the fun.
