Built in 1905 to a design by Crawford & Veitch.
The slightly lower building adjacent, belonged to W.H. Wyllie Ltd., grocers and provision merchants, and the initials 'WHW' are etched into the stonework. The building became a Chinese restaurant in the late 70's / early 80's, and spawned the infamous Alsatian dog in the freezer story.

Hey Charlie what ever happened tae the billiards hall just up fae the cross in Tollcross rd. There was a wee cobblers shop no far from there as well.

hey gor snooker halls still there m8 it was owned by jimmy alan i think cant remember the cobblers but had some good times in the peach bar cafe

The cobblers was in the wee low down building next to the snooker hall Tam...I think it was called Roy's and he moved over the other side of the road when it was demolished. Do you have any photos of yer Da's shop in Tollcross...post them on here if you have.
