Great photo Patrick thanks for posting it. In opening up this thread again I had a wee read through it and read over my post about my mammy's memories of Parkhead I can see her sitting there that day talking of the things she told me and the happiness in her face as she was recalling her childhood. In the post I was saying about her and her sister sadly neither of them are with us today so thanks for the Keelies board and giving me wee memories. Och I'm away before I start greetin Adaline

Sorry Patrick I am mistaken I don't have that photo. I was talking about another which was taken at the corner of Burgher Street...before they built the TSB building.

reading through the posts about the horse being taken in for a pint, I think it was Joe coutt's brother who took it in the pub.

No it wasn't any of the Coutt's's Patrick. I know who it was that had the horse. David who is working on the new Parkhead Past-times website is the nephew of the horse owner. We are on the right track in our search for the photo. I also have a link to someone in Parkhead who has the original paper cutting.

Oh it will be in the Mitchell Patrick but we are trying to identify dates as in regards to David's uncle and when he lived in Parkhead and stabled his horse in the stables down by the 'coffin work'...it will save hours of sifting through newspapers.
