Stick them on the Carve their names with pride board and I see what I can do with them...all English , Welsh and Irish Memorials are to be put on the Carve Their Name With Pride boards...as this is a Glesga War Memorials board.

Charlie, where can I go to look for a list of those who died in WWI? I`d like to read some info on his death, if possible. He was one of the WAR`s casualties.

A mate of mine is a coach driver in the south side of Glasgow. I'll not say his name or the company name but suffice to say it's a big company. Last year he picked up some Americans at Greenock/Port Glasgow who had arrived on a cruise ship. His task was to take them a tour of The Trossachs and drop them back at the ship. At lunch, in Aberfoyle, one Yank came up to him and announced that he was "saddened" that the Scots hadn't ought in either WW1 or WW2 along with the English. My friend, a wee bitty upset, put him straight and deliberately stopped at every village/town he could on the way back to show this eejit the war memorials erected there.

Good on your pal the coach driver jimmy for keeping alive their memory and informing our 'God da-mned Colonial' friend of how much our wee country sacrificed during not only the First World War but also the Second one as well and every other conflict since.

Passed by the Cameronians Memorial at Kelvingrove Art Galleries last Friday when I was coming out of our 60th Anniversary event last Friday it is being given a full make over ... it was the first war memorial I ever remember seeing in my childhood days.
