Kinnie and co were only children when i was in the torch. hmm funny that yin holywell i was with wee tam mcinnes in a club in coventry a couple of months ago after a parade we had in corby, and he,s 4 years older than you. 62 his brothers jimmy same age as me and john and andy are in there 50s tae ;D i take it ye,ll of knew harry stanley who got shot in walthamstow east london for carrying a table leg, and his brother andy stanley we knew them as stan or big stan they changed there name often to colhoun, i was walking through the east end of london wan day and these guys passed me we looked back at the same time it was big stan a guy in my class at school, as was wee jimmy mcinnes and another guy fae the spur ,milsy.

thats right trotsky, and pitbull andy macinnes ran about with the spur until he was about 17 , so when i ran about the torch kinny was about 12 or 13.

If that wis the Torch a remember looking at them when I was on the bus coming home from town about 9 o'clock wan night as they stood at the bus stop with their short trousers and running noses and wondering how their mammies could let them out so late ;D

Names from the Torch I remember : Hendy, Kelso, Marvin, The Wright Brothers, 'Leaf' Cooper, Junior McLaren, John McCall i was at bernard street school wi milsy and kinnie and big alfie butterley and that crew leaf cooper wee junior and kelso and danny maitland where a couple classes higher up than us, and by the way i met wee junior years later in a pub called the coach and horses in stoke newington north london, and he had lost both his legs when he fell between 2 trains at kings cross railway station as he was robbing the buffet cars, they had to amputate both legs and kelso i went to identify him in charing cross hospital in intensive care he layed there for 8 months he was attacked as he came out of a pub in my local area called the olde hatte in west ealing in west 13 london he got set about by four guys with machettes and 2 birds wi base ball bats and ripped apart by 2 rottweillers, he was totally wrecked, his face and eye hangs limp on one side, he had just come out of jail after doing 6 years for attempted murder on his girlfriend an american girl he,d beaten to a pulp and stabbed the police said it was linked i used to still see him as he sat with the winos on the park bench. incidently i met him one night at a bus stop he was on the run before any of this happened after he told me he was on the run i sais hey davy am glad i bumped into you tonight, he said hows that jackie boy , i said because look whit happens when ye drink, he laughed as we parted and said aye but i can handle it jackie boy, boy am i not glad i didnae believe his parting statement

when we heard that wee junior had lost his legs, his sisters (vickie & vonnie) told me that he had seen a pram on a railway line and thought there was a baby in it, he went to save it, and got hit by a train. i must have been very gullible when i was young.

The story I heard was that Junior was playing 'chicken' with his legs across the rail track. Along came the train, Junior proved to all and sundry he wasn't 'chicken' and lost his legs in the process. Now that's what you call gullible.

well ye wouldnt expect him tae tell the polis when he woke up in hospital at paddington haw mister i fell when i wiz robbing yer trains. anytime we got captured ye had tae think fast when the bizzies questioned ye or run like feck and it was always a big boay gave it tae me or i found it under a bus parked at parkheed , not the truth like hey mister i jist smashed that bus windie and robbed all the gear aff ra bus know whit ah mean an aw rat.

i dont no where pit bull is getting his information but i went about wie billy Mcinness who wis the oldest of the boys they lived in fordnuek st then and he married and went to aberdeen to live where he was killed by a drunk driver billy would be about 58 if he was living today i am still friendly with wee leaf cooper and james Mchendrie old enemies now pals we still here from junior McLaren n stiil meet sandra jim and all the gang when there up here our when we go down to the big smoke by the way junior only lost one of his pegs and dont think he would be trying to rob a buffet caur maybe harrods our wan of the main shops in the west end i know what happenened but thats another story brad

well he must have a twin holywell i spoke to him last week he is still in london and married to wee pat lyons going about with robin murphy i was with his brother jim who was up for the old firm game and had a drink with him in the calton in cads pub he still runs about with his one leg
