I saw my great uncles name mentioned. Corporal Andrew Crawford of 89 Burgher St. He was killed at Loos in 1915. I have inherited the card with his photo and black ribbon down from my granda and gran.

I saw my great uncles name mentioned. Corporal Andrew Crawford of 89 Burgher St. He was killed at Loos in 1915. I have inherited the card with his photo and black ribbon down from my granda and gran. I have much more now. He was with the 10th HLI and died attacking the Madagascar trench, Loos. Before the war he worked at Templeton Carpet factory in Greenhead st. His brother Allan Crawford was wounded in the hand the previous week with the 7th Seaforth Highlanders. Also of 89 Burgher St. Another brother Alexander is possibly 2nd Seaforth and died 31st Oct 1918. Need to verify...
