Anyone know where I can find history of The Townhead Martyrs. I know their was a plaque outside townhead library which was demolished to make way for the M8.I know some of the streets around Townhead were named after them Charles st Kennedy st to name but a few any help would be greatly appreciated. torch 21

Here is a photo of the stone that was originally in the wall of the Casino Picture House in Castle Street and then moved to the under pass of the nearby motorway next to the old Royston Library. It is now in the wall of the Church in the Dobbies Loan Church.

Ah went tae the Carlton an Casino pictures fur years an ah never even knew there wis a memorial stane there. Ignorance is bliss right enough, eh? It's jist as well there are sites like this tae perpetuate aw these wee snippets of information.
